Hunky dory never failed to impress. Fish was so fresh and cooked perfectly, flaking away with no hesitation. The salads were crisp and well dressed. Thankyou for your service team and will definitely recommend and return

we popped in for a quick dinner and had swift service. portions were large, sufficient and fresh at affordable prices. we were not hurried out; they were happy for us to hang out after our meals were done. all satisfied and we would definitely come back if we ever feel like fish again.

Sometimes all you want are chips! Hadn't been here before but in area so got takeaway. Small chips, 2 potato cakes, fried cauliflower bites and a piece a flake for husband. I had salad roll at home so put potato cake in it and delicious! Chips were nice but shouldn't have bothered with the cauliflower. Would have given 3 stars but increased to four because they also sell hot jam donuts! And if you've read any of my other reviews you know I can't go past hot jam donuts. But I've had better. Nice location, lots of seating outside and can see how on a warm afternoon it would be nice sitting outside having chips and wine and watching Highett happen.

The food was excellent, chips crispy (and not too salty), the grilled flake has some great spices to go with the lemon and I have no complaints about the salad. What really made me want to review the place though was the fact that they forgot one of our meals (and we didn't think to check) but luckily as we started driving off one of the workers comes running at us from down the road with the meal. I just had to congratulate him on his exemplary service 👏.

Always a great meal for great value at Hunky Dory Highett! Staff are always so friendly and professional and the place is always kept clean. Fish is always nicely battered and crispy, never dry. They have a good selection of menu items but always have something on special. Go-to place for a nice, easy meal.

The hunky dory meal was perfectly cooked, especially the flake itself. The fish burger was also cooked perfectly and nicely spiced sauce but the salad inside was too sour and bland. Calamari salt and pepper were also cooked to perfection and the side sauce was nice.
